Hawai’i Sign Language

Hawaii School for the Deaf and the Blind aims to preserve the usage of Hawaii Sign Language amongst the community. Hawaii Sign Language is known as HSL with language status under a nearly extinct category. Hawaii School for the Deaf and the Blind strives to preserve the usage of HSL within the community by documenting it through films and maintaining a bond with the University of Hawaii with their linguistics research team.
